Daddy on Drugs/ Haircut

Max is NOT supposed to cough. He's had pnuemonia since August. And once it was JUST BRONCHITIS>>>>> ANYWAY, the doctor gave him Prednizone (?sp) and Codeine. The Codeine is 30 mg tablets. The doctor told daddy he would NOT be in ANY pain. NO KIDDING! So, after sacrament meeting, he came home. Because he's NOT supposed to sing, talk, walk around. etc. (HE just whispers) Which is funny in and of himself.
So, he's all alone and Then he decides to cut his hair. When we came home, and Iwalani and Jeremy were here for dinner, we saw the back of his head. We all started to laugh. He said he was insulted, and he didn't know what was sooooo funny. This morning, when I saw the back of his head again, I laughed again, and said I'd be glad to fix it for him. He STILL didn't know why I was laughing, so I took some photos. HE LAUGHED TOO! I guess we need to fix it now.
The moral of the story would be, don't cut your hair when you are on DRUGS!

Iwalani's bridal photos #2

Iwalani had bridals taken on two different days. These are at the Albuquerque Temple.

She was SO BEAUTIFUL ! ! ! ! !

How fun to be a bride. It's hard to choose which ones I liked best. BUT this is NOT ALL the photos. You'll have to come and see.

When I told Max that we should take some pictures of he and I, he asked WHY?

goosie goes gorgeous

Today Goosie (aka Chantel) and I went to take some senior photos. What a gorgeous girl! We had a lot of fun, except for the fact that Chantel had to get her picture taken. Some have funny faces, you'll have to see my personal computer to see those. These were a lot of my favorites. We are going on another day to get long hair pictures.

Some of my favorite shots have a coat in, because she was DONE! :-]

Yes, we know. She said I should have had her take the coat off, I just laughed.

Wish you were here! The weather is great! YEAH for sunshine!

It's time to make a wedding cake!

Yes, I'm starting Iwalani's cake today. What amazed me the most is that the 16" square pan just BARELY fit into my oven, front to back. There's room on each side but that's it.

I was SO surprised!

The house smells wonderful, and they fit into the freezer, TWO VERY IMPORTANT THINGS.

Fun, Fun, Fun! :0) Hope you are having fun, too.

Teandra gave me a new fondant recipe, she says it won't tear as easily. HMMMn, should we try it?

Memory Lane

(I'll do anything for comments, lol )

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot. Anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty fun to see the responses. If you leave me a memory about me, I'll assume you are playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one for you.

rachael's wedding 08

Hi! We had lots of fun in Texas. It was such a busy few days. Teandra and Mark came the furthest.
They were in Richland WA and left Thursday July 31st to start the trek.
Then they went to RENO NV (no, it wasn't a quickie divorce, or wedding, they were visiting his grandpa who has been very ill.) They went to San Diego CA on Sunday, attended a wedding Monday Evening.
Tuesday they left and drove to Arizona, south of Mesa on Tuesday. Came the rest of the way to Rio Rancho NM on Wednesday. Then we left Wednesday evening about 8:30 pm to go to Kiora's in Texas. It's an 11 hour trip to Sherman, TX. We picked up Kiki and the kids, left Teda & Mark's car there, and on we went to Houston TX. We took two cars, the convertible (my car) and the minivan (grandpa's) alex always tells me that the van is grandma's car. I showed him how the top went down on the convertible. He likes it now.
After another 5 hours or so in the car. We arrived at the hotel, and grandpa told alex YES you can jump on the bed. Another generation reassurred by Max.

We went to the temple as Rachael received her endowment. It was a very special evening. Goosie (Chantel) stayed in the hotel with the little ones.

The next morning, we ate, and off to Uncle Greg's house in Lake Jackson, TX and hour or two south of Houston.

We decorated for the wedding, put lights up, did food stuff, and the kids went to the beach to play, and go on the catamarran. (probably not spelled right, oh well)

When they got back, we drove back to the hotel in Houston. (yes, we spent a lot of quality time in the car).

The next morning Rachael was married, we checked out of the hotels when we came back from the temple, and drove back down to Uncle Greg's house. The reception was that night. We fixed lights that fell off, did more food stuff, and got ready for the crowd. THERE WERE SOOOO MANY PEOPLE!
at the same time. They all came early or right on time. At home, we have A LOT of people who come late. Not there. Donna and Greg had Texas BBQ, and Sausage with BBQ sauce it was DELICCCCCCIOUS!!! :0) Great fruit dip, yummy punch, veggies, and a chocolate FOUNTAIN with lots of yummy things to dip.

We still fit in the car on the way home. Our hotel at Gregs, had two bathrooms, a kitchen, a "living room" and two bedrooms. It was wonderful, we all fit in one place.

Sunday, we went to Church at the Spanish Branch with Uncle Greg. He's the counselor in the Stake Presidency there, and he asked all those who spoke Spanish to bear their testimonies. I was also asked to play the piano to accompany the congregation for sacrament meeting. Listening to the testimonies of my children, and their spouses brought tears to my eyes. Each of us testified of what the gospel meant in our lives, of the Atonement in our lives, of the blessings that come of following the scriptures, listening to the prophets, and praying for answers, of the blessings of our families, and why they are important to us. I wish the rest of the family had come.

We then went back to Kiora's house in Sherman, so that Iwalani and Chantel would be 7 hours closer to home. They had to come back to go to work. We played until Friday, when we came home, and Teandra left with Mark for Indiana. I'll let Kiki tell you what we did all week.

Time passes sooo quickly!

It's amazing how quickly time passes. Life is great! Teandra and Mark are in Washington,
Kiora and Alex, and alex and Chio, are in their new home. What a pretty neighborhood!
Iwalani is working, and starting school on Tuesday, while Chantel is starting at CNM for the summer on Tuesday, also. She just finished her junior year.

Max has a new job, still in Los Alamos. It's a different phase in our lives. When I skype with little alex, he always wants to come to grandma's home. It makes my heart feel happy to know he'd like to be here. I'd like to be there, too.

I've been busy trying to reorganize my home. It's a LONG process.

Well, no photos for now.
